Things to Do in Hartford

If you don’t come to Connecticut often, we’d love for you to explore a little while you’re here.
These are some of our favorite spots—places we go ourselves and think you might enjoy too.

EAT & DRINK

  1. Salute – Our favorite downtown spot (5–10 min from the venue). Great food, cozy atmosphere, and always feels special.

  2. Parkville Market – About 10 min from downtown. A fun place to grab a bite, with lots of different options so everyone can find something they like.

  3. Roberto's Real American Tavern – a bit further drive at 20 min, but it’s where we had our first date if you wanna see a bit of Terry & Emma history.

NEARBY

  1. Stroll Pratt Street – Literally outside The Society Room! Cobblestones, local shops, and cafés make it perfect for a quick wander. (0 min walk)

  2. Walk in Bushnell Park– A short 5-min walk. Relax in the park, enjoy the greenery, or hop on the historic carousel.

  3. Connecticut Science Center - Great little museum that’s about 10-minute walk. It’s also by the riverfront park, nice place to stroll along the Connecticut River!

EXPLORE

  1. Mystic, CT – About 1.5 hours away. A nice coastal town with a fun harbor area if you want a longer outing.

  2. New Haven, CT – About 1 hour away. We love wandering downtown and grabbing a pizza here.

  3. Downtown West Hartford – 20–25 min drive. Lively neighborhood with shops, cafés, and a relaxed vibe we enjoy on weekends.
